=====

RD: and so RM

RM: I dont want to hear

RD: arey what you dont want to hear?

RM: Whatever you have to say, I dont want to hear, go have your bath and we will eat

RD:!!!!

=========

RM: R its your exam..we have to study

R: hmmm

RM: R what are you doing

R: arey studying amma

When I go in and see, the brat actually has her school book in her hand recognizing A B C

========

RM: R I can see you biting your nails

R hide her head underneath the pillow and continues

RM: I Can still see you R

R: Kaise, mein toh pillow ke neech hoon?

RM: Because Ammas can see everywhere

R doesnt say anything

Some days later, RD, R, RM and RD’s friend NH from Australia are going shopping

R again bites her nail as NH examines some jewellery in a shop

RM: R I can see you bite your nails

R: no you cannot I am aapke peeche

RM: So what, I can see you

She thinks for like two minutes

R: Can N aunty see me ?

RM: Well, I am not sure..

R: Then I dont want RM as amma, I want N Aunty as Amma

and I burst out laughing 🙂

============
R and I are sitting by the window drinking her milk…errr…I mean she is drinking and I am just sitting!

anyways the background is…I went and bought two plants the other day..tulsi and kadi patta

RD: RM, whats the point of buying, no plant survives when you plant it

RM: hmpf…or something in those lines!

anyways so when I am planting at 9.30 in the night on Sunday, the brat tells me, this is my baby and this is your baby (kadi patta is hers, and the tulsi is mine)

Anyways so that morning, I ask her how are your babies..

R: kya babies?

RM: arey you said na..the plants are your babies

R: oh that, I dont know..aache hai kya?

RM: well, they look fine to me

R: acha, mereko woh baby kabhi milega?

RM: what baby?

R: arey woh doll jaisa baby

RM: What doll?

R: uff..smacks her hand on her head, arey amma, woh jo aapke tummy mein hai (Amma, the one thats in our tummy)

I am so shocked for a second that I didnt even react

RM: arey there is no baby in my tummy

R: Toh kabhi ayegi

RM: Jab God denge tabhi

R: Toh kabhi denge

RM: I dont know baby

She thinks for a while

R: Amma, mereko toh girl chaheye

RM: Well, whatever God gives we have to take na

She again sips her milk for a while and then says

R:Acha amma, ek thing karte hai..we will ask God for one boy one girl..boy Appa ke liye, girl mere liye

By this time RM  has fainted!!!

  3. Nithvin says:

    Cute cute cute :)))
What’s with all these babies? they all want us to have another baby..My daughter was asking me for the same thing just two days back..and guess what… I told her the same thing..we will get another baby when God gives us..thank ‘GOD’ for saving us..for sometime atleast 🙂

    • R's Mom says:

was she? arey I think in R’s case its more with the kids in her daycare of her age now having siblings..almost like a competition..mere ghar pe ek chotu baby hai..what about yours?

      • Nithvin says:

Now that you mention, I think she too wants one because some of her friends at play school have a younger sibling and her closest friend also has a younger sibling(girl)..so, she too wants only a girl baby..but frankly, I am so confused about this ‘second’ baby business..can’t completely strike it off my wish list nor able to decide for one right away 😦

  4. summerscript says:

I want N aunty as amma– hehehehe… so so so cute she is.. I liked both Rism and RM-ism 😀

  5. Chaitali says:

Looks like R household is ready for twins (that too boy and girl) 😉 muah to R sweety 🙂

  7. lifesong says:

All your Risms have R demanding for a baby now. You better get her one fast before she starts asking God for 2, 3,… babies 🙂
Wow! she is not even 4 and actually studies for her exams on her own. I am impressed 🙂
“Ammas can see everywhere” That’s what I tell my daughter when she does mischief hiding from me 🙂

    • R's Mom says:

Like I said above, I think its more because of the kids in her daycare slowly starting to have siblings..so competition hai 🙂

Errr…she was not studying..she was pretending to study trying to tear the pages of the book!

  8. Oh I love to eat Bournvita too 😛

😆 she is hilarious I tell you RM…..wants N Aunty as mummy 😆

err…beware of that asking god for one boy and one girl!!! strangely, their little wish do come true 😯

  9. Seema says:

Super duper idea 🙂 One boy one girl eh? Why not three? One for each of you…

2nd one happens with me like this… I ask ‘Do you want Idli or Dosa?’ Mannu – Idli, Tammu – Dosa! Then I make something else as I don’t want to disappoint any of them 😛

She actually went to study eh? Wow! So cute…

Anyway, the bottom line is when are you giving doll jaisa baby? Bolo bolo

  10. TheBurntMap says:

    R.. Gimme a high-5!! 🙂 🙂

  11. Studies as soon as you ask her to? What a diligent child… And ofcourse who wants an Amma who wont let me do everything I want? huh? I have said the same thing to my Amma millions of time the same thing – so can totally relate to her words…

AND, come on now – is there or isnt there a little doll girl inside there? Huh? How is cutie R getting all those ideas then? huh huh huh? Tell tell telllllllllll

    • R's Mom says:

Errr..she was tearing the pages 😦

nope there IS NO baby inside there 🙂 like I said, I think its more because the kids in her daycare are slowly having siblings so thoda competition ho gaya hai

  12. garima says:

hehehe black and white chutney, add little dhaniya patti na them it will become green :-)God 1 R +2 RM+ 2more babies….good going 🙂

  19. NBose says:

    LoL on R-isms 😀

Why u give her B/W chutney always…get some eastman colour na 😉

  20. Smita says:

    Such a cruel mom u r, not giving a baby girl to R!!! Not done 😀 😀 😀 😀
And tell her that when she grows up she can participate in “Ma Exchange” kind of program 😉
Sunday I asked Arnav what will he eat cheeni paratha, aloo paratha or oats and the bugger replied Cake!!! And to check if he has said this by fluke I repeated my ques twice only to get the same answer 😐

  21. Smita T says:

RM… me and bro used to eat sugar, bournvita and roasted peanut powder mixed together when I was a kid. when mum was not around and we were hungry…. it was one of our fav foods.. ur post reminded me of those days… thanks

and about those babies…. go ahead give her one… 😉

  22. Swarna says:

    • R's Mom says:

hahah! RD is coming to Bangalore to run the marathon…doubt whether we can meet it..if you cant see the baby, go ahead and meet the father..he is a cute character as well 🙂

  23. Jazz says:

LOL RM.. My elder sis has a 2.5yr old daughter, and my sis n jiju keep telling me her amusing stories as well.. The way she hid under the pillow when you said you can see her was awesome.. 😀

  24. Risms made my dull day have a little smile. You must allot days in the week exclusively to write about Risms – say 5 days a week. 😛

If you want to write about anything else, you should do that mehnat over the weekend 😀

Accha the brat likes light green chutney is it? Here’s a recipe I know that has never ever failed to please any child.

Take fresh coconut, corriander, garlic(must), green chilli(skip it if R can’t eat spicy food) and grind together. Squeeze some lemon and add sugar. This chutney has to be mildly sweet. Then add a pinch of salt to bring out the sweetness and tanginess. Experiment with sugar and lemon until you get the taste that feels right. I can eat a dozen dosas with this chutney 😀

    • R's Mom says:

hahaha! R doesnt do so many Risms CR 🙂

Oh thanks a ton for the recipe..I am going to try this for sure…sweet of you to give it 🙂 Muah! I am sure R will be pleased that CR Akka sharing the same birthday with her was kind enough to share a recipe for ‘green’ chutney as well 🙂

  25. Swaram says:

She is so rt RM! A boy and a girl is good 😛
And the N aunty-Mumma thing is classic!

  26. Tanishka says:

    Lol at N aunty as amma…. 😀 😀
RM, you know R is right…. How about twins, one gal n one boy…. 😀

  27. Pepper says:

So it’s going to be twins the next time around. Yay!

PS – Just because you don’t have twins on either side of the family is no reason for you to believe you can’t have them. 😀

  28. chattywren says:

lol! if changing mom’s was so easy am sure my kids would love to participate in such exchange programs!

  29. anisnest says:

lol… R is growing amma.. muah and hugs to her.. never give an open choice to kids na? lol on idli/chutney.. 🙂

  30. Kids these days are so in tune with babies. I don’t think I’ve ever asked my parents about babies and their arrival times! Anyways, there’s a lot of pressure on you now to have a kid so yes, make your daughter proud! Hahaa! 🙂

  31. Ashwathy says:

ROFL !!! I loved the last one the best!!! 😆 So when do we see the twins??!!!
