I Think I Married Superman

*Brag Post Ahead* Big Big Brag okay???

RD, I think is sometimes, superman incarnate…the way he can do a million things apart from fighting with me sometimes make me feel as if he has some kind of a battery charged inside him….before that, let me clarify, that the guy is definitely LAZY and do things ONLY if he wants it….ask him to clean up the room, hmmmm he answers and does it after 3 months by which time I have done it 10 times..but in the month of May, I sure felt he was superman…

It all started when he went to Sabarimalai…he managed to take R and then climb down and manage her with MIL’s help of course..but still…

Then he was supposed to run the Bangalore marathon ..but he got to know that he had to go to Australia for a couple of days because he had won some award and his company was nice enough to fly him to Aus and back for a day!!!!

*Note to self – See they will recruit RM*

On the phone one day, sometime last week

RD: RM RM I won an award and I have to go to Aus for that

RM: Great, congrats, when?

RD: Abhi not sure, but I hope its not around the marathon

RM: Oye, you  better run the marathon

RD: yes yes, but I am not sure about the dates

RM: Dont go then, you HAVE to run the marathon

RD: Errr..its a big award

RM: I dont care, I have loads of friends who have contributed to the marathon, you better run

RD: but RM…

RM: I dont know okay…you HAVE to run

RD: Errr…let me talk to the office guys..

Then he calls back in a while and tells me about the dates…I am like go to Bangalore directly and run…

RD: WEll RM, if not anything, we will return the money to the contributors and whatever we have collected, we will pass on to Nanhi Kali from our end..

RM: Thats not the point, the point is RUNNING the marathon

*Now as I type, I am wondering why was I being so insistent on running :)*

RD: okay, let me see

So the guy comes back from sabarimalai on Saturday night…leaves for Australia on Wednesday, reaches there on Thursday, attends the function on Friday, leaves on Saturday morning, goes directly to Bangalore to reach on Saturday night at 10.30…reaches my cousin’s place at 12…gets up again in the morning and goes for the marathon run..actually COMPLETES the marathon (yayayayayaayy yipeeeeeeeeeeeee!) and then comes back to Bombay at 12 in the night..

I mean this sure qualifies for superman for me!!!

I dont think I would have done it..

And on top of that, he got to meet one of my favorite cousin and the lovely RS and her hubby and her lovely Chutku..Damn! Am I jealous or what 🙂

Me?

I went out with R on saturday and sunday pretended as if I had completed a 100 KM run!!!

More on R and RM day out tomorrow 🙂

Wonderful that is how one should do all the things.

On a different note,”Dear Bangalore friends,

A marathon is a one with an official distance of 42.195 km.

10 km is not even close to it., don’t call it a 10km marathon., its just 10 km run

    Sincerely,
    #a long-distance running enthusiast “

  9. RM, RD simply superqualifies for the BloggerBhooshan Award….. he is a great Bhooshan to the blogger RM . Don’t know anyone who would have done a pilgrimage with an aji and a child, followed by transpacific travel, associated jetlag, AND run a marathon and completed it.. (Scribby’s husband in Indore won it earlier….:-))

    • R's Mom says:

Oh My God!!! Seriously RD is amazing!!! Yesterday only I was thinking how do people so many things in a day and here is an example! I guess it is all about attitude!!
BTW why did you pester him so much about the marathon?? 😛

    • R's Mom says:

oh totally attitude..but it works only when HE wants it..and its pretty selective as well…like he can hear only selective things and do only selective things…jokes apart, I am pretty impressed 🙂

I dont know seriously…I think more because so many of my blog friends had contributed to the cause???

  20. Amit says:

All men are Superman. This is a closely guarded secret. We usually are too lazy to admit it but sometimes exceptions have to be made. 🙂

  21. Smita says:

lol!! That selective listening is applicable to ALL MEN!!! Period!!! 😀
And yes his deeds were pretty impressive!
At the cost of sounding interfering, do not do that to him next time re!!! We all would have understood if he wouldn’t have made it there!
