As You Sow, So You Reap

This is going to be a very short post…mine are usually more than 750 words thanks to WP for letting me know that..

The brat is unwell…high fever etc etc…today morning she wakes up and cries…mereko school janaย hai..mereko daycare jana hai….and the crying turns worse which results in her coughing like an old woman..

RM gets scared..and says no

R negotiates after crying some more

RM and R decide on this ‘okie…I send her to school and then pick her up..no daycare’

R agrees after saying she will go to school by bus

RM again negotiates saying I drop you and pick you up

R okie..but pick me up only after the school finishes..

and then RM gets reminded of how she used to trouble her parents the same way….going to school despite of fever and all

I tell you…everything I did to my parents is coming back to me…you dont need to wait for the next janam or something..same janam you get back whatever you have done! Now I know why God gave us the ability to procreate..so that we realise how much we troubled our parents!!!

anyways I am on leave today…actually working from home…will go to pick up R in sometime..

please pray she gets okie today…otherwise tomorrow will be another day!!

  1. Hugs RM. R will definitely be better in some time.
And also, tell R that S&S auntie is praying hard that she will be okay by tomorrow and can go to the school and daycare okay! A big hug for R!

  2. RS says:

OH! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Hope she gets well soon… What happened? Rains again? Take care RM… And somedays ‘work from home’ is a blessing for you to relax a bit too! As long as she takes her medicine and goes to sleep in the afternoon, I think she will feel better…
And Ofcourse – she will feel a lot better to go to school tomorrow!!!

  3. garima says:

Oh dear..i hope R gets well soon.
    Take care !!!

  4. summerscript says:

Hugs ! Take care RM. She will be fine soon. No worries !

  5. Seema says:

Hope R gets well soon. But hats off to her for the determination to go to school. You always try to take away the credit, eh?? *looks sternly with hand on hips*

About ‘as you sow so you reap’, I was terrified about my kids’ food habits ever since I got pregnant. I was a very picky eater as a child which continued till I got married coz my Amma would also give me options or make separate stuff for me if I did not like the meal that was cooked for the entire family. But thankfully, foodwise till date, my kids have hardly troubled me. I’m glad they eat anything edible. But other than this, Mannu is a replica of me and Tammu of hubby. She does all the nakhra when it comes to study. Abbas gets reminded of all the troubles he gave to Ma. But WTH? I have to put up with Tammu’s nakhra not him! He sowed and I am reaping ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

    • R's Mom says:

well…simple solution…Abbas ko bolo ke woh bhi karaye unko ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Seema says:

Mostly their homeworks are given on wed n fri. And I try to finish off on friday itself and not keep it pending to be done on sat n sun. Abbas comes back home at around 10:30 or 11pm re. Kids are asleep by 9. But yes, I did try once by asking him to sit with them during their HW on a saturday. Before I knew it, their homework was declared done. Astonished, when I opened the books to check, he had let them do it on their own, they had scribbled all over. When I asked him “What is this?” He coolly said “Anyway there are just 3 na? This is just perfect!” He is no doubt Tammu’s dad. Phew!

        • R's Mom says:

but Seema, I think Abbas has a point, let the kids do it themselves na..I usually let R just do it herself, I do sit with her and ensure she does it, but I dont sit and rub whatever wrong she has done..and you think the teachers dont know who is doing the homework…chill karo Seema, let Abbas take care of their homework…they will eventually learn ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Tharani says:

RM, at least you can send her to school, here they send them back home if the child is running a temp. Am sure she will be fine by the end of the day.

    • R's Mom says:

  11. Swarna says:

    Get well soon R.
It’s sad to see kids like that.

On a funnier note, You know even my aunt used to say this. She had troubled granny saying , She does not want to go to school when she was in high school. Her son did the same. My mom used to shout when we were kids, “you will understand the pain when your child will do the same” .

If R has got this quality of yours she will also get all other good qualities ๐Ÿ™‚
    Take care
    Swarna

    • R's Mom says:

awwww..arent you sweet….now let me go back and start counting on my good qualities…swarna yeh kya kiya..you are scaring me.. a child like me *Shudder*

  15. DI says:

  20. AT says:

I’ll pray she gets better soon ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. anisnest says:

Hugs RM.. she will be alright soon.. Reg. this what goes around comes around I have realised it time to time.. Adi also does most of the things that I have done to my mom.. like when mom is taking a nap after heavy work.. shake and wake her up to ask a silly question… ask what? why? when? how? where? for all trivial things.. jumping like a spring to get approval for somethins… certain incidents will literally look like a replay to me… I have told this to amma too and she always laughs at it and says “anubhavi rani anubhavi” do you understand this tamil? ***testing your tamil*** ๐Ÿ˜€

  22. My Day didn’t start well, and now I read R is not well. I hope she feels better real soon..Please pass on some tight warm hugs from me to make her feel better..

  23. Rajani Ram says:

How is R now? Hope R is feeling better…… and yeah I have two boys here… and I tell you – certain days the way they act and think and do things are similar to watt I used to do when I was younger….. when My parents where here with me… they would just look at me with a ‘ you used to do this’ look…. and smile…They loved each and every moment of that…..LOL….

    • R's Mom says:

R is much better..thanks darling…you have two boys and they both are similar to you is it :):) hahahahaha! your parents would have fun making you realise how you were as a kiddo na ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Rajani Ram says:

Not all they do are.. but something when they do… its bang on…. and I try to tell them that wat they are doing is not right or not good or wrong and at that moment it hits me… Damn! I used to do the same! wats the point yelling…. LOL!! god that moment is amazing and the way i try to hide that…. I laugh at myself… and I dare not look at amma and achan… coz they are waiting for me to look at them…. I have to like mentally put a screen around myself and focus on the issue…. LOL!!! gosh! one of those hilarious moments!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  24. Zephyr says:

Tomorrow IS always another day but it is said in a positive way. So chin up. You are right about the karma of this life being paid back in this life itself ๐Ÿ˜€
